Hello, my name is Maegan Lambert and my background is in clinical social work. I received my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah. I’ve worked with children who’ve experienced trauma and behavioral challenges, adolescents involved in the juvenile justice system, and adults struggling with mental health. My experience includes client-centered play therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and mindful yoga-based acceptance & commitment therapy (ACT). I currently work with children ages 10+, adolescents and adults in treating trauma, depression, anxiety, and grief and loss.

I value collaborating and bonding with clients. My approach to therapy is relationship-centered, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and LGBTQIA+ affirmative. To provide a sense of calm and clarity, I incorporate mindfulness, somatic awareness and guided meditation in session. I appreciate the interdependence of human nature and our need for connection to heal, grow and flourish. My hope is to support clients in deepening their connection with self, others, nature and the world.

I am a social justice advocate and believe in the inherent worth of every individual.I strive to increase my awareness of how systems of privilege and oppression impact human behavior and perpetuate suffering. My intention is to help clients feel empowered at both the individual and community level. I aspire to create a nurturing environment filled with curiosity, compassion and respect. It is a great honor to witness the healing journey of others and I look forward to, hopefully, witnessing yours.

I am a lover of the outdoor experiences Utah has to offer, such as hiking, rock climbing, paddle boarding, and camping. I also enjoy practicing yoga, cuddling with my cat and dog, engaging in meaningful conversation, and cooking dinner for my loved ones.
